Community support

We are proud to have a dedicated Community Networks Team based across the UK, providing support to people living with macular disease in their local communities. Our team includes Community Engagement ManagersCommunity Development Manager, and a Volunteer and Group Support Team based at our head office in Andover.

Together, the team supports our UK-wide network of peer support groups and volunteers, working to connect people living with macular disease with the help, information and sense of community they need.

The Community Networks Team plays a varied and important role, including:

  • Supporting just under 300 face-to-face and online peer support groups across the UK. These groups provide practical advice, emotional support, and a chance to meet others who truly understand the experience of living with sight loss.
